I’d suggest visiting the forums at and checking the areas on “other devices” and “reading software.” (I don’t know what kind of phones are Java-enabled, or I’d be more specific.) They’ve got discussions, a FAQ and a wiki about the different kinds of software, and what works on which devices, and sometimes hacks or other fixes that can make the software work better on your reader.
